Listen to your iPod or iPhone music through your car stereo with this PDO CarFM. Just plug your iPod into CarFM and plug CarFM into your car's cigarette outlet. Tune both your car stereo and CarFM to the same FM station and your iPod's tunes will play over the car's stereo system. It's that simple. There's no need for adapters. The transmitter will even charge your iPod while plugged in.
If you are using an iPhone, CarFM can be used as a hands-free talking device as well. CarFM will automatically switch between playing music to hands-free talking when you receive a phone call.
Why buy a separate FM transmitter, car charger, and hands-free device? CarFM performs all three functions for one low price!
CarFM is compatible with all iPod and iPhone models.

Review Summary: iPod touch FM car transmitter
Review: WOW! Must admit that I was a bit sceptical aobut this product, but I couldn't believe how easy it is to use. I have a fair, 4-speaker stereo system, but it has only a cassette player. I plugged this unit into the lighter, tuned as directed, and SHAZAM!, great sound from my iPod touch. No more fiddling with cassettes or CDs. I have a great music library at my fingertips, plus the convenience of being able to charge my cell phone at the same time. I must admit that it could be a bit sturdier, but that's a minor inconvenience compared to all the pros of this product.

Review Summary: Very disappointed - product would not stay upright
Review: I was very excited to get the product so that I could use my iPhone 3G hands-free in my car. However, when I attached it to the cigarette lighter in my car, the weight of the product (even without the iphone attached) kept causing it to fall over. I could not get the iphone to stay upright, as pictured in the description. The power adapter kept turning under the weight of the attachment (it is obviously very top heavy). I will be returning this immediately.

Review Summary: It's great, but it has some drawbacks
Review: I recently purchased and iphone 3G and was disappointed with the hands free and car audio options available. I purchased the Belkin TuneCast from the Apple store, and used it side by side with this PDO product on a trip from NY to Washington D.C. The Belkin was NO match for the PDO product in terms of clarity and reliability (and the Belkin costs twice as much!). There was NO static on the PDO product and I've used it daily since then with beautiful, clear sound. It holds my phone well, no bopping around. It is a tight fit with a case on, though. I have a silicone case on mine at all times.
It's not perfect. The small cable that attaches your phone to the product often needs to be jiggled so that sound is properly heard through all my car speakers. You also CANNOT charge the phone while you are listening to music. When the cable is plugged in to the phone on the bottom for charging, it stops transmitting music. Not the end of the world, but it would have been nice to have both since most FM transmitters do this simultaneously.
It also has periodically acted as a hands free device, and other times, it just doesn't work. I haven't figured out why. It could be possible that I have a slight defect in mine. Would love to hear if others have this same problem.
All in all, it's one of the better options out there for the 3G, in terms of sound quality and bang for your buck.

Review Summary: This FM transmitter actually works
Review: I own an iphone 3g and there aren't many companies out there that have a fm transmitter for the iphone 3g, only the first generation iphone. I tried the DLO TransDock knowing that it didn't support the iphone 3g, but I read some reviews abot it, saying that people had some luck with it. I didn't, the reception was horrible. So I took it back and tried the PDO.
It works really well in my car, I have a Mini Cooper. It works on more than one station. It is really clear, ALL the time. I drive at least 10 - 15 miles from where I live and I never have to change the station. It continues to play after you have restarted your car. No need to hit play again, unlike other fm transmitters I have owned.
If I had one gripe about it the arm could be a bit sturdier and they could do away with the little connection cord and make it a full "dock", but these weaknesses are sooooo small compared to actual performance of what it is suppose to do. Play your music through your car, and charge your iphone. It works really really well for me. LOVE IT! thanks PDO!
